3D Graduate: Resources for PGCE
Graduates come to Goldsmiths with a wide range of experiences and degree backgrounds.
Many of our students are mature, and we are proud of the fact that the social mix of our students is as varied as that of the schools with which we work. We regard this social diversity as strength and would like to enable you to build on existing skills and experiences and understand where you fit in a wider workforce agenda.
Teaching is a complex and varied profession with lots of opportunities. We feel that one of the great things about the PGCE is that it enables students to plan and personalise their own learning experience.
Schools provide an ever changing environment and this means that our student teachers need to be both reflective and reflexive in order to meet the high standard of classroom practice expected of all graduates to our programme. Throughout your PGCE you will create and maintain one key document – your Individual Training Plan [ITP]. Within your ITP you will find your QTS Progress Record and Profile. Using the 3d graduate area we aim to familiarise you with some of the documents within your ITP and show you how you can use them to effectively support your professional development.
