How it works

The courses are designed to work as:
  • Stand-alone enhancements to your professional CV and personal knowledge and expertise. No commitments for future modules are required – you can do as many or as few as you choose.
  • Building blocks to higher qualifications. Each course is worth a certain number of credits. If you choose to, you can build up your credits to achieve a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or the following Master's programme:

-MA in Professional Media Practice

You can also gain a Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits) or Postgraduate Diploma (120) credits. To complete the MA, you need a total of 180 credits, of which 120 need to be gained from attendance on a number of the accredited courses and completion of appropriate assignments, along with 60 credits for the successful completion of your final project. 

For added flexibility, you can opt to take courses at any accredited institutions across the Skillset Media Academy Network , as long as one third of your credits are completed at the Academy that awards your qualification.

Start in March

The next course running will be Creating Audio Visual Apps for iPhones and iPads. This course introduces you to application development for iPhones and iPads using the popular artists coding toolkit, openFrameworks and is running from March 2012.
