Who is eligible?

If you have an undergraduate degree with two years’ relevant industry experience, or five years’ industry experience, then you could be eligible.

Are the courses recognised by the industry?

Yes. Each course has been developed by working closely with expert industry partners, and industry professionals play a key role in delivering the courses.

I’m a busy professional. How flexible are the courses?

Very flexible. The courses are designed to fit into your schedule and requirements. You can choose as many or as few as you like, paying for each courses individually without any obligation to take further modules.

If you do decide to take advantage of the credit-building option to gain a higher qualification such as an MA, you can spread this over 5 years.

Do I have to take an exam?

No. All the courses are 100% coursework assessment.

My work takes me to many different places in
London and the UK. How does this fit in with studying at Goldsmiths?

There are many Skillset Media Academies across the UK, and you are not restricted to just one. Every institution undergoes a rigorous selection process to ensure every course is delivered to the high standards and quality you expect.

I’m not sure if I want to just do one or two courses, or work to a higher qualification. When do I need to make a decision?

Whenever you like. You don’t have to commit to a higher qualification at any stage. Many professionals start out intending to just take one or two courses, but decide to keep going – and vice versa.

However, if you do decide to take advantage of the credit-building option to gain a higher qualification such as an MA, one-third of your credits should be obtained at a single institution, so they can award the qualification. There are also some restrictions on the combination of courses you can take to achieve some qualifications, so if you start thinking about taking a higher qualification, have a chat with your tutor.
