Event overview
The Centre for Identities & Social Justice Seminar
This talk which arises from Professor Ainley’s most recent book ‘Betraying a Generation, How education is failing young people’, focuses on tertiary level F&HE to discuss briefly new developments in schools, colleges and training/ apprenticeships.
It suggests reducing student numbers on unsatisfactory expensive undergraduate courses but rejects the government’s means of achieving this by raising fees (rather than scrapping them) at the same time as encouraging new providers to offer cheaper courses.
