Event overview
A live composition by artist Claire Nichols Curated by Sol Polo as part of Better Together
Following her latest explorations in performance and music as part of a residency at The Florence Trust, artist Claire Nichols will be performing the first iteration of her Variations at Enclave Lab, turning the space into an evolving canvas and score.
Nichols' Variations explore a myriad of abstract compositions activated by the body of the artist in an improvised dialogue between live sound compositions and found objects from the surrounding area and the artist's studio.
Navigating in demarcated geometric spaces, Nichols’ work plays with the physical and philosophical spaces of the studio and the gallery. These spaces are explored by the artist through a series of drawings, sculptures or performances that are "in process" and in a constantly evolving relationship with the viewer.
Join Claire Nichols as she performs a live and condensed version of her studio explorations at Enclave Lab.
