Event overview
An Exploration of Self Help Groups and their role in supporting adult sufferers recover from an Eating Disorder.
Sue will be sharing the findings from a qualitative study, which emerged out of her longstanding voluntary work facilitating a Self Help Support Group for adults who suffer from an Eating Disorder. The study explored the personal experiences of four former members who attended the group, and the value that they attached to the group in supporting their journeys towards recovery. Sue strongly believes that such groups can play an important role in supporting sufferers at a time when there are increased numbers of young people and adults presenting with an Eating Disorder in the UK.
