3rd year students from BSc Creative Computing and BSc Games Programming showcase their final year projects.
GAMES PROGRAMMING PROJECTS
Roll - A highly interactive gaming experience which is strongly grounded by real-life feedback. Roll aspires to bridge the gap between playing on a digital screen with the analog world to create a more fulfilling and immersive game experience.
Feasty Lion - A lion hunting game where you have to hunt animals in the savannas of Africa. Poachers are dangerous... avoid them!
Ultradrive:Boostworks - Keep your eye on your health and energy as you boost your way through and around obstacles at high-speed. Can you make it to the end in one piece?
Moonie Run - an addictive runner game where the goal is to go as far as you can while dodging obstacles in the way.
Strorbs - A mechanic that aims to build organic looking structures from a simple input.
Chess AI - A computer chess game which features artificial intelligence. It uses different type of algorithms for the AI implementation. Play against the AI !
Axilya - A light-weight game development library that brings Unity logic without the bulk. Make game dev in C++ easy.
TrailBlazer - Timing is everything as you try to reach the end of procedurally generated levels as fast as possible while avoiding all the enemies.
CREATIVE COMPUTING PROJECTS
VinylARt - A prototype application which explores a new way of music discovery for vinyl records using Augmented Reality technologies.
Liquid Interface for Musical Expression (LIME) - A new approach to musical expression that employs the user's sense of touch in water.
The Conductor - Designed and built by Cormac Joyce, the aim of the project is to demonstrate the ability to create economical and effective animatronics for independent theatre and film.
Life - A number of agents seek food, form relationships, grow old, exhibit different emotional states, reproduce, and eventually die.
Diistress - A virtual reality experience that draws on the viewer's biofeedback to raise awareness of stress levels.
Bunta - A classical platformer game built to challenge your dexterity and endurance. Do you have what it takes to reach the leaderboards? Kevin Dang didn't.
An Adaptive Roguelike - A roguelike in which the difficulty of the game changes based on how players perform.
Generative Symmetry - Generating symmetrical patterns using Swarm Intelligence.
Tremors - Physical computing interactive installation. A group of lasers read vibrations on several points of water surface and output as spatialised audio.
