Interviewing Private Collectors: with special guest interlocutor Ozge Ersoy, curator and arts writer based in Istanbul.
As series of audio and video interviews focus on private collectors whose collecting activity encompasses curatorial modes, commissioning and collaborating with artists, engagement with museum acquisition boards and an idiosyncratic relationship to the art market.
Özge Ersoy (Turkey) is a curator and arts writer based in Istanbul. She is the programme manager of collectorspace, a non-profit organisation that aims to foster critical discussions and writing on contemporary art collecting practices. Her main research revolves around the question of how art institutions shape artistic production and how artists influence the way institutions evolve over time. Ersoy holds an MA from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.
