Event overview
The London based Film and Video Umbrella screens Goldsmiths MFA Fine Art Alumni Alice May William's work at Sideshow
The open air screening event hosted by Sideshow at Forest Works is made up of three previously commissioned film works by the FVU.
The event takes the theme of ‘process’ as its stimulus, bringing together three works set in London which each touch on regeneration, change and renewal in this fast-paced, complex city.
Suki Chan surveys London around the clock, meeting a selection of people to explore their approach to an urban existence. Alice May Williams poetically narrates the changing face of Battersea Power Station, and Melanie Manchot collaborates with the community of Cyprus Street in London’s East End to look at the rich history of the area’s street parties.
The event will take place outdoors, therefore warm clothing is crucial, mulled wine will be provided.
