Event overview
A convenor at Goldsmiths, University of London
A second-year Fine Art student, Sarah Rowles, has set up a forum for students and alumni from London universities that are interested in art and art history. She hopes the forum – Q-Art London – will trigger peer-review, debate, knowledge exchange and networking online, whilst being supported by regular convenors and face-to-face debates.

What's a convenor?
The idea is that we will book a room every month in each of the London Universities (mentioned in our 'about' page) in turn. Convenors will be 2-3 hours long and about 8 students will present an idea or a piece of work in that session. The group will then have the opportunity to discuss the works. If you are an art history/ visual culture student you are invited along to view the art work of your contemporaries. Your are also invited to write reviews of a specific convenor or potentially team up with a particular student to follow and write about their work. If anyone would like to submit a piece of written work for the group to discuss, it is suggested that you provide copies to people in the convenor before the one that you would like to have the discussion in.
Students and staff from all of the colleges/ courses are invited to present at the convenors. Even if you are not presenting everyone is invited along to view works/ take part in the discussion. It is hoped that everyone will benefit from the different, fresh, perspectives on offer.
