Event overview
Delivered by Fiona McPhail
This workshop will provide an overview of good practice in recruitment and selection as well as information on policy and procedures specific to Goldsmiths. The morning will ground participants in the wider process - the legal framework; equal opportunities and diversity; how best to prepare the person and job specifications for fairness and effectiveness. The role of Chair and panel members will be covered. The first part of the afternoon session will take a closer look at using I-GRASP online recruitment, now in use in Goldsmiths. Then, in an optional practical session, participants will prepare for shortlisting and planning and conducting interview panels. We will cover setting and asking competency based questions which draw out what you need to know and help your candidate to show themselves at their best.
