'Festa and music at the court of Maria Casimira Sobieska in Rome 1699-1714'

Dr Aneta Markuszewska graduated at the Institute of Musicology, the University of Warsaw in 2003 after writing her Master's thesis under the title Dramma per musica 'Tolomeo et Alessandro' by Domenico Scarlatti (supervisor: prof. Alina Zórawska-Witkowska). In 2005 she graduated at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in harpsichord class of prof. Wadyslaw Klosiewicz. A year later she also graduated at the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg in the field of Historische Tasteninstrumente under the supervision of prof. Glen Wilson. Since December 2003 she is an Assistant Lecturer at the Division of General History of Music of the Institute of Musicology, the University of Warsaw.

Her main research interests include: 17th and 18th century opera and keyboard music of that period.
