Delivered by Clare Ramos

Having difficult conversations can be traumatic - yet the ability to manage them is one of the cornerstones of effective leadership, employee relations and human resource management. This session presents participants with the skills and framework you need to understand how, and why, disputes occur and how to respond when they do. The session develops core competencies that managers and leaders require to have effective dialogue with a member of their team, particularly over poor performance, absences or managing changes. Drawing on good practice in conflict management, the facilitator will help participants to learn and practice the skills and strategies that managers need to have those difficult conversations with employees.

Human Resources has organised this session as part of the AIM Series for Heads of Department and Senior Managers.
