Evening Recital of music by MMus composer Leah Wingham

As part of the Department of Music's annual PureGold festival, pianist Coady Green performs premieres by Goldsmiths MMus composer Leah Wingham.

Programme:
Preludes and Etudes for solo piano.

COADY GREEN is acknowledged as a major rising talent on the international concert circuit, having been described as “a virtuoso pianist with sensitivity, intelligence and charm”, and “accurate and exhilarating”, (Musical Opinion, London), with “a strong and versatile technique capable of the most delicate colouring and tonal brilliance, rising to the challenges of extreme virtuoso demands with relish” (The Advertiser, South Australia).

LEAH WINGHAM started playing the piano aged 7, and went on to study at the Trinity College of Music Junior Department taking lessons in piano, flute and percussion. In her final year at Trinity, Leah became interested in more contemporary repertoire and she began to experiment in composition, studying privately with Gwyn Pritchard, and at Goldsmiths with Roger Redgate this year.
