Event overview
Are you looking for ways to develop your skills and knowledge?
Come to our session and hear from Lucy Whitaker, HR, how she was seconded into a project team and has built up confidence and her skills base as well as having a great time! Claire Chalmers will tell you all about the Erasmus+ programme which offers academic and professional services staff the chance to gain professional development through teaching or training elsewhere in Europe. Applications are first come, first served, so hurry as it closes on 15 October.
Rody Bristow-Jones will tell you about Outside Insight, a collaboration between eight London Universities including Goldsmiths which gives the opportunity for Professional and Administrative staff to go on short visits to shadow staff working in areas of interest to them. Work shadowing entails spending time with and observing the work of another member of staff in a department or role of interest in order to gain insight into work in that area. Inter-institution work shadowing provides practical career and professional development in a way that allows staff to have a wider appreciation, share and bring back knowledge, of work practices from other Universities.
