Event overview
This weeks activity will introduce Peking Opera to new audiences through art class and demonstrations
This week's Chinese Culture Salon will look at the history of Peking Opera and its appeal across the world. This will include discovering the different characters and how they contribute to the story and their relationship with the audience.
You will also get the opportunity to create your own Character mask and learn what each colour represents on stage.
This workshop is welcome to beginners as well as those with a interest in Mandarin/Chinese Culture and is taught in English.
Chinese Culture Salon is set up and run by the Goldsmiths Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance.
