Creative Lab: Tuning in to Your Creative Calling
SAF, the leading creative agency promoting and supporting creative talent in London brings a series of 3 FREE workshops to Goldsmiths’ campus in the academic year 2014-2015. These 2-hour sessions help Goldsmiths’ students to strategically think, plan and advance their future careers in the creative sector while at university.
Monday 23rd March 2015 12.30 - 2.30pm – RHB 251
This session will focus on preparing yourself as your own creative startup. By the end of this interactive workshop you will be able to develop business thinking, discover what it takes to be an arts entrepreneur, and identify your next steps as a creative professional.
There will be practical exercises, real life examples and a Q&A/discussion at the end of the session to give you the tools to start thinking about commercialising your creative practice.
Please note that there is limited availability for this event so register early to avoid disappointment.
Speaker: Tommy Darker
Tommy Darker is the writing alter ego of an imaginative independent musician, founder of Darker Music Talks - a global series of discussions between experts and musicians, and visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster.
In August 2012, he left his army career to focus entirely on solving a specific problem: how artists can make money to sustain their living and re-invest in their art. His vision is to simplify scalable concepts and make them work for independent artists and professionals.
*SAF is offering Goldsmiths’ students a three-year membership for a special rate of £25. To become a SAF-member please visit https://webcollect.org.uk/saforg/subscription . For membership enquiries please contact membership@southwarkartsforum.org
