A once monthly lunch time get-together for anybody interested in textiles or curious to find out more. Featuring a special presentation by Prof. Janis Jeffries.
Talking Textiles is a once monthly lunch time get-together for anybody interested in textiles or curious to find out more. A small selection of textiles from the Goldsmiths Textile Collection is available for viewing and discussion at the Constance Howard Gallery. This extra special session of Talking Textiles will feature a special presentation from Prof. Janis Jeffries (Professor of Visual Arts and Research, Research Fellow at the Constance Howard Resource and Research Centre) on her contribution as editor to the recently published Handbook of Textile Culture (2016).
For those keen to be involved further, there is the opportunity to research a chosen textile and to share findings or questions at the following session. Attendees are invited to continue discussion and share their own textile projects over tea and coffee after the gallery session.
