Food and drink

We offer a variety of catering facilities on campus:

The Green Room
A multi-purpose space within the Students’ Union which can be used for quiet relaxing, showcasing students’ work, and for non-alcohol focused events.

The Stretch
Also in the Students’ Union, this is a bigger venue with a bar, lounge area, and two balconies. A selection of hot food is served throughout the day.

The Refectory
Based in the centre of the Richard Hoggart Building, the Refectory serves a selection of cooked meals at lunch.

Loafers Café
Loafers is open throughout the day, offering jacket potatoes, soup, pizzas, salads and ciabattas alongside a wide selection of drinks and cakes. Costa coffee is also served.

Tastte
The Tastte shop, housed within the Refectory, sells sandwiches (including halal), drinks, snacks, and fruit to take away.

Students’ Union Shop
Based in the Richard Hoggart Building, the recently expanded shop sells a range of products including drinks, snacks, newspapers and greetings cards, along with everything else you’d expect to find in a quality convenience store. It also stocks a range of ‘ethical alternative’ products.
