"We want to be able to book Quick Queries with the advisers instead of just turning up and waiting"

As so many of you fed this back to us, we brought this up in our twice yearly planning meeting over the summer. From January 2012 we will be offering eight appointments, Monday to Thursday, bookable in advance on that same day.
Quick Queries are only available in the afternoons, and this makes it difficult for part-time students to fit this in to their schedule.

We discussed this question in the
staff meeting. Previous experience does show that 2-4.30 is the best
time for the majority of students. It was agreed that Quick Queries will
always be available to students at other times of day when the service
is open.
We would ask students who are unable to come to the 2-4.30 sessions to contact us at least 48 hours in advance to arrange an appointment at a time which fits in with their schedule. We will try to offer an appointment time immediately. If this is not possible we will aim to offer an appointment time within a working day. We will add this booking advice to our website and our marketing materials where appropriate.
