Cardio, Resistance & Free-Weights

Club Pulse at Goldsmiths boasts a range of 90 exercise stations with state of the art cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, bikes, step machines, rowers and elliptical trainers. All machines have built in TV entertainment, so you can watch all your favourite TV shows and personalise your workouts.

There is also an extensive array of easy-to-use strength training equipment, easily accessible, comfortable and safe. There are machines to workout your lower, mid, & upper body, toning and stretching your muscles.

The free weights area is ideal for both females and males, whether you are new to exercise or regular users. Dumbbells, Smith Machine with Olympic weights sets and incline benches are part of the range available.

Dance studio offering an extensive workout class programme

The studio is adjacent to the fitness suite and has workout classes everyday. Aerobics, Step, Boxercise, Yoga, Pilates etc – Check the Fitness Programmes and Timetable page for full details.

The instructors bring their own blend of traditional exercise routines and mix it with the latest techniques to ensure every class you attend is a great workout.

A great cardio workout and classes run most days. 

Things to remember:

  • Changing room lockers take £1 coins (returnable) - please ensure you bring the correct change
  • Please bring a towel, and wipe down machines after use
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn at all times
  • Please restrict the use of cardiovascular machines to 30 minutes during busy periods
  • Please return Free Weights to stands after use
  • Please dispose of rubbish in the bins provided
  • Please only use equipment you have been shown how to use correctly; if you are interested in using a new piece of equipment, please always ask staff for advice
  • If you find a fault with any piece of equipment, please report the problem to a member of staff immediately
