Terms of reference

To provide a forum for providing information - and gathering customer feedback - on ITS services, communication, standards and direction, focusing on central IT support of learning, teaching and research rather than technical discussions.

Within this general remit, specific objectives are:

(i) to gain College-wide understanding and agreement on IT standards and procedures;

(ii) to disseminate IT strategy and standards;

(iii) to contribute to the development of College IT standards and procedures;

(iv) to contribute to the development and updating of IT Service Level Descriptions;

(v) to provide suggestions for improving current ITS service provision and provide ideas for future direction;

(vi) to share IT knowledge and best practice;

(vii) to provide a forum and defined contact points for communication from ITS directly to distributed IT support;

(viii) to ensure consultation about, and co-ordination between, centrally managed IT facilities and those provided within departments.
