Natural Language
Rodger Kibble has published several papers on Centering Theory, with
particular reference to implications for text generation and dialogue
modelling. His primary line of research at present aims to develop a
social semantics for multi-agent communication drawing on concepts from
social theory and philosophy of language, which at a suitable level of
abstraction can underpin both agent communication languages and natural
dialogue models while avoiding reference to mentalistic notions such as
belief and
intention.
