Openframeworks Computing Vision Workshop
In November 2009 the Goldsmiths Digital Studio hosted a workshop on computer vision using the Openframeworks toolkit, lead by Joel Gethin Lewis and Arturo Castro.
The workshop focused on creative user interface applications of computer vision. It was a very inspirational event, providing a highly creative atmosphere for participants including undergraduate, masters and PhD students at Goldsmiths. All participants produced a demo. Work included a picture that disappeared when you tried to look at it, music created from drawings, a mirror that surrounds your face with flowers, and animated generative music that is controlled by drawing shapes on a whiteboard.
The images below give an idea of the work and atmosphere of the event.
