Guest Accommodation : Short-Stay
Our short-stay tariffs are designed to meet the needs of those wanting
an overnight stop in London, or a short holiday in the capital. All
rooms are fully-serviced, and as such the accommodation is effectively
run as a hotel, with beds made-up prior to check-in and towels and
toiletries provided. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis (Monday –
Friday) with bed linen and towels changed weekly. Self-catering
tariffs include the provision of basic cutlery and crockery along with
tea-making facilities, and catered tariffs are also available. The
accommodation itself is of our highest standard with all rooms being
located within modern, purpose-built blocks and pleasantly furnished.
All rooms are equipped with en suite shower, toilet and washbasin.
Serviced accommodation at Goldsmiths is cheaper than the equivalent
offering at most local guest houses and is a popular choice for people
wanting hassle-free accommodation in London on a budget. We are not
able to offer services such as room service, portering, bar etc, and
this is reflected in the nightly rate; in all other respects our
serviced rooms are comparable to those offered by local chain hotels at
around three times the price!
There is no ‘minimum stay’ in serviced accommodation, and rooms are available from Saturday 9 July – Sunday 17 September 2011
inclusive. All our accommodation is very popular, however, so please
note that we cannot guarantee availability until your booking is
confirmed.
Our two newest residences, Surrey House Annexe and Chesterman House
are modern, purpose-built halls each consisting of en suite single
bedrooms grouped in flats of eight, sharing a large kitchen / diner.
Both buildings are located in New Cross, SE14 - 5 minutes’ walk from
New Cross station which has frequent services to London Bridge (6m) and
London Charing Cross (15m), in addition to the Underground East London
Line which serves East London and Canada Water where you can change for
Canary Wharf and the Jubilee Line. Deptford Bridge DLR station is
approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the halls, providing direct services
to Canary Wharf, Stratford and the City.
