The first Christine Risley Purchase Prize was awarded to Naoki Hamaguchi for his work entitled 'Stitching' 2005.
Born in 1977 in Japan, Naoki graduated from Goldsmiths BA Textiles 2004. He is a contemporary artist whose works combine different media such as animation, drawing, installation, film, sound and textiles.
The work can be viewed in the Centre by appointment.
