Research Interests

Fabian Muniesa is a senior researcher at the Centre de Sociologie de l'Innovation (CSI) in the Ecole des Mines de Paris (now Mines ParisTech), France.  His research contributions are mostly located in the fields of science and technology studies and economic sociology. His work primarily aims at developing a pragmatist, materialist approach to the study of calculation, valuation and organization. His past and current research topics include the automation of financial markets, the practice of economics, the implementation of performance indicators, and the pedagogy of business.
