Symposium on Urban Regeneration
Symposium: Goldsmiths RHB 143, Thu, 25 Mar 2010 17:00:00 GMTTentatively: the theme will broadly focus on "trends in urbanism and territoriality" . It will include some views on socio-demographic aspects of urban sprawl such as migration, risk & security, the effects of gentrification on diaspora identity and how this can inform the regeneration agenda.

Aida Sanchez De Serdio (Barcelona)
Aida Sánchez de Serdio is a Barcelona-based educator and researcher. She is a lecturer at the Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Barcelona. She also lectures at the MA Visual Culture Studies and Projects and the MA Visual Arts and Education of the University of Barcelona. Her research focuses on collaborative arts practices and cultural politics. She is a member of Artibarri (a network of non-profits and researchers working with art for social transformation), and of the advisory board of the Youth Association TEB.
