Beatriz is a social scientist interested in ethnographic research and photography. Her work explores remote worlds and its place within a larger global process looking at how people deal with this macro process on the everyday, on how they comply or resist to it observing their means of opposition and possibilities of making their own world. Her visual narratives combine photographs and text in an effort to create new ways of visually reading the world.
Her work has been exhibited in Germany, Guatemala, South Africa, India, France and Spain. She is the Coordinator of the Urban Photography Summer School at the Center for Urban and Community Research (CUCR) Goldsmiths, University of London.
