Helena Holgersson is a visiting PhD student at the CUCR (October 2008-Mars
2009) from the Sociology Department at the University of Gothenburg,
Sweden. In her thesis she looks at how non-citizenship is articulated in a
Gothenburg context by interviewing "hidden refugees" (rejected asylum
seekers) on how they organize their everyday life and make use of the
urban environment. Her research design also includes methods such as
participant observation, mental maps and walk-alongs.
