FAQs
Are there any local routes to Lewisham and central London?
- London via Thames Path
Pick up Albany Way to Deptford High Street, turn left into Deptford
High Street, cross Evelyn Road into New King St, - you may prefer to cross
Evelyn Road on foot - left into Dacca Street, then Grove Street, turn right
at the end of Grove Street to pick up the Thames Path.
- London via St James Street
This provides a better alternative to using the A2 or Evelyn Street.
Pick up Woodpecker Road or Sanford Street on the other side of Fordham
Park, then Surrey Canal Road, Ilderton Road, Verney Road, St James Rd and
then continue to Jamaica Rd. (It will take 15-20 minutes from college to
get to London Bridge. Don't use the Woodpecker Road late at night.)
- Lewisham
Cross the road in front of the college, turn right and continue on
the pavement of Lewisham Way, this is a shared use pavement but do take
it easy, slow down for pedestrians as pedestrians can make sudden changes
of direction. People can come out of houses with looking. Turn into left
into Friendly Street and continue across Brookmill Road into the park.
Turn right to head towards Lewisham. When approaching a junction from a
shared use path you need to be much more cautious than usual and slow right down
