PCounter Accounts

D&PS can debit payments from student, departmental, and staff PCounter Accounts. Please supply your College user name (computer log-in) on your order form, and ensure there are sufficient funds in your PCounter Account to pay for your project. PCounter balances can be checked at all PCounter release stations and the cashless till-points on all ITS Help Desks, including ours.

PCounter pricing is non-subsidised, and therefore should not be used by Goldsmiths staff for printing-related expenditure for claim-back from your department by Petty Cash or Expenses Claims. In those circumstances, it is better value for your department if we recharge your job to the department's Agresso account, processing your order on a standard D&PS Order Form.

For the time being, if a PCounter transaction is too high a value for PCounter's cash loaders (which take coins only, no notes), D&PS can take payment from students by cash, cheque or credit/debit card instead. ITS and Finance are working on a web-based payment system, and we will introduce that as soon as it's fully tested and operational.

New to PCounter?

This is network account system in use at Goldsmiths, that gives the owner a "purse" that they can keep topped up by putting cash into the machines in the Rutherford Building, and use at their convenience to "cash-less" pay for ITS' chargeable services and consumables, such as printing, copying, binding and CD's/DVD's, available in the Rutherford Building, Hatcham House, NAB and also in Design & Print Services.

PCounter account holders are typically students, but staff can also set up PCounter accounts for personal use, and Departments can set up shared accounts for staff who need to use the copying facilities in the Lirary. Funds can be added to those accounts by budget-transfer, cash is not required. Contact D&PS to make arrangements.
