Research interests
My research interests are located in the field of pedagogy, particularly assessment, equity and student voice. Much of my research has been in the secondary education sphere. However, my most recent research has been exploring assessment as an integrated component of a critical pedagogy and has led to the development of a conceptual model of ‘Assessment for Becoming’ (Bain, 2007), which offers a philosophical framework for approaching assessment in Higher Education.
