Liliana Ovalle
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2006, Liliana has run her own practice working on product and furniture design. Born and raised in Mexico City, her work is strongly influenced by her background. In her objects, Liliana is interested in the notion of improvisation as a system, and its relevance within developing countries where it is used as a common resource for achieving progress. In 2006 she was given the Talent Award by the British Council. Her work has been selected for international exhibitions including Design Miami, Paul Smith Space in Tokyo, and Plusdesign Gallery in Milan.
