Assistive Technology Centre (ATC)
The Assistive Technology Centre (ATC) is an open access computer room for the use of all students with a disability, specific learning difficulty, Mental Health Needs or long-term health condition. Within the ATC there are also 4 private study rooms which can also be used.
The ATC has 3 PC’s and 1 Apple Mac in the central area and 1 PC in each of the private rooms. Most computers have their own scanner and headset.
All computers in the ATC have assistive software installed to enable students to work effectively.

- Lightning screen magnifier
- Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Jaws
- Supernova
The ATC also has height adjustable tables and printing facilities.
The ATC can be located on the ground floor of the library, immediately after the entrance/main reception. The Library is accessible via an entrance on the corner of Dixon Road and Lewisham way.
The ATC is a restricted access area. In order to be able to use it you must register with the Disability Team. Please contact the disability team on 0207 717 2292 / disability (@gold.ac.uk) to book an appointment.
