I have already been assessed for dyslexia
If you have already been assessed and identified as having dyslexia, please come to a disability drop in session to see a member of Disability Team. We will discuss your support needs with you and, if appropriate, help you apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance.
Please ensure you have a copy of your dyslexia report; you will need to bring this with when you come to a drop in session.
To apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance your report will need to meet the following criteria:
- Be a full diagnostic assessment, showing evidence of cognitive and literacy difficulties;
- State you have a Specific Learning Difficulty
- You must be over the age of 16 years when your assessment was done
If your report does not match all of the above you will need a new dyslexia assessment. For further information, see How Can I be Assessed for Dyslexia?
