Criterion of the competition for the MA fee waiver bursary or bursaries (for MA in Comparative Literary Studies):
In deciding upon its nominations, the Bursaries sub-committee seeks signs of significant academic potential, indicated in particular by:
- Evidence of distinction and diligence in prior BA studies.
Criteria of the competitions for MPhil/PhD fee waivers (for new and current students):
In deciding upon its nominations, the Bursaries sub-committee seeks signs of extensive academic potential, indicated in particular by:
- Evidence of distinction in a prior BA AND/OR MA programme.
- Diligence and timely progress in the conduct of original scholarly research of high quality, or of creative writing of high quality.
Students who are holders of AHRC or similar publicly funded studentships for 2012-13 are not eligible.
To apply for the fee waivers, please send a CV and a letter of application, addressing the appropriate criteria above, to Maria Macdonald by the deadlines specified on the Awards and Scholarships page. New students applying for the fee waivers should also include the names and contact details of two academic referees.
