Colton Paul BA MA PGCE
Colton Paul is a lecturer in primary education( PGCE, BA in Education, Culture and Society).
Colton joined the department in 2003 as a full time member of staff. Before that Colton worked as a primary school teacher in Haringey and Tower Hamlets. Throughout his teaching Colton was concerned with issues of language, and how cultural and social factors impact on children’s performance.
Colton has continued to explore in his research the ways in which these issues function to determine children’s performance, particularly the impact of culture, “race” and social and power relations on children’s attainment. This is the basis of his PhD thesis.
