Daphne Oram
A letter to Daphne Oram from J.A. Gulland, Head of the Deptartment of Adult Studies in 1966, thanking her for a recent lecture at Goldsmiths College, with a prescient conclusion concerning "what we as a College do next about electronic music". By 1968 the Electronic Music Studios had been established by Hugh Davies, and It is likely that Daphne's demonstration directly stimulated the beginnings of electronic music study at Goldsmiths.
