Studios 1 - 3
Studios 1 - 3 each house identical workstations based around a ProTools LE / Apple Mac system.
They are primarily designed for use by undergraduate students taking studio-based modules on the BMus (Hons) Music, BMus (Hons) Popular Music, and BMus/BSc (Hons) Music Computing courses - Introduction to Music Technology (first year), Studio Techniques, Studio Composition, Music Technology & Production, Live Electronics, and Phonography.
They may be also used by any enrolled music student, subject to availability and approval, for course-related work.
The workstations in Studios 1 - 3 each comprise :
- Apple iMac 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo 2, with 3Gb RAM, 20" screen, Mac OS 10.5.8
- Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200rpm drive in WiebeTech Firewire 400 enclosure
- Digidesign MBox 2 Pro audio/MIDI interface, with 4 in / 2 out analog & stereo digital in/out
- Allen & Heath MixWizard WZ3 14:4:2 mixing desk
- CME UF60 master keyboard, with MIDI controller faders
- Alesis Midiverb 4 effects processor - with MIDI programme change
- ADAM ANF10 2-way passive nearfield studio monitors
- Samson Servo-120a stereo power amplifier, 60 watts per channel
- Behringer PX2000 Ultrapatch Pro patchbay, with analog & digital in/out
