Maintenance Services (Facilities Hard Services)

Maintenance Services is responsible for the maintenance of the Estate and building infrastructure and is divided into two areas :
Building Services Maintenance and Building Services:

  • Reactive maintenance of the College's buildings.
  • Planned maintenance of the College's buildings.

Building Services Maintenance

  • covers heating and hot water (both gas and electric), electrical power, lighting, water, drainage and sewerage, lifts, fire alarms, security alarms, air conditioning, ventilation and portable appliance testing.

Building Maintenance

  • covers the internal and external physical building aspects of the College - carpentry, signage, painting, brick and tile repair and replacement, shelving, door locks, door maintenance, all internal repairs, internal building furniture, grounds and gardens maintenance.

Please make sure that you are familiar about what to do in the event of a fire or medical emergency. This information is available on the College's Health & Safety web pages.

For maintenance emergencies during normal working hours:
Please contact the maintenance helpdesk by telephone O20 7 919 7121.

For maintenance emergencies outside normal working hours please telephone the security team on Extn 666 who will contact the relevant trades contact.
