Financial Accounting Team

This team is responsible for reporting externally on the complete and accurate financial records of the College.  This includes ensuring that financial staff are entering transactions promptly and accurately on the finance ledger. The functions covered are accounts payable, cash office, credit control and financial accounting.

Management Accounting Team

This section has two main functions; the first is the provision of a full management accounting service for the College, including calculating departmental budgets, provision of management reports and supporting departments with their financial management.  The second is research accounting including costing up all the research grant applications made by the College, making financial returns to the College's research funders and provision of financial management support for Principal Investigators.  The team also administers the ECF process.

Procurement Team

The Procurement section is here to assist the College obtain value for money, by providing advice and guidance on the acquisition of goods and services, whilst ensuring Financial Regulations and approved policies and procedures are adhered to. 

We also cover all aspects of insurance cover and claims. 

Payroll and Employee Records Team

Payroll process all salary and expenses payments to staff and the input and maintainence of basic staff data on the Payroll sytem.  Payroll is also responsible for submission of all PAYE returns, and oversees the USS and LPFA pension schemes, together with the annual HESA statistical return.

Financial Systems Team (including Agresso)

The Finance Systems section’s day-to-day responsibilities include supporting and maintaining the College’s core financial systems including procurement and payroll. Longer term activities cover liaison with both financial and non-financial users to ensure the systems continue to meet the college’s requirements.
