East London Line closure
New Cross and New Cross Gate are both on the south end of the East London Line which is currently closed for major extension and upgrade works. You may like to consider taking the tube to London Bridge station, and then an overland train one stop to New Cross or New Cross Gate.
The East London Line re-opens in summer 2010 with an extension to the north (to Highbury and Islington) and the south (to West Croydon).
