Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy
Institutional Strategy and Policy
Goldsmiths aims to maintain and enhance the quality and standards of learning, teaching, assessment and support mechanisms through its learning and teaching strategies.
Goldsmiths current Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy was informed by an institutional review of assessment methods and methodology. The Strategy was endorsed by the Learning and Teaching Quality Committee (May 2007), who will oversee its implementation, and approved by the Academic Board (June 2007).

Feedback Policy
Feedback – its scope, nature and practices – has been at the heart of recent institutional and nation debates. In 2010, Goldsmiths Learning Enhancement Unit coordinated a Feedback Policy for the institution.
It took into account research into assessment for learning, current practice at Goldsmiths and students’ comments and suggestions.
Accompanying the policy are examples of feedback practice from Goldsmiths departments, and the research literature.
Departmental Strategies
Departmental strategies make explicit how the aims and priorities of the institutional strategy will be addressed by individual departments.
The departmental strategies were written and endorsed by departments during 2007 and 2008.
