Tools and strategies for deterring, detecting and dealing with plagiarism

Plagiarism is certainly a persistent problem within academia; either because students do not understand the process of referencing their sources sufficiently and according to academic convention, or because they deliberately break the rules. In both cases, we know that plagiarism continues to be a problem in HE.

There are a variety of strategies that can help if not eradicate, then at least reduce the possibilities of plagiarism by designing out avoidable opportunities.
The below guide runs you through the basic strategies that can help to limit occurrences of plagiarism.

We can advise on we how best to deter students from accidentally (or deliberately) committing plagiarism, as well as on a variety of tools to detect plagiarism should it have got that far.
