Governance responsibility for oversight of College companies
Finance and Resources Committee is required by its terms of reference:
"to maintain an overview of the College's commercial activities and the activities of any College-owned companies or legal entities in which the College has a legal interest, to report to Council as appropriate, and in particular to make recommendations to Council on the approval or otherwise of any proposals for the establishment and termination of College companies or of any other legal entities in which the College has a legal interest"
Wholly-owned companies
PureGoldsmiths Limited is a spin-out company designed to handle all commercial activity within the College. Its establishment was approved by Council on 13 March 2008. but it has not yet traded. The following Board membership is also approved by Council:
