Transport and Commuting

As part of Goldsmiths policy to reduce our environmental impact we feel it important that everyone at Goldsmiths reviews their travel choices, not just in getting to Goldsmiths, but in general. We are trying to encourage a large and ever increasing uptake of cycling, and already have a large number of cycle racks around the campus, with more racks planned.  In addition to the cycle racks, there are numerous showers around campus, with more to follow when the New Academic Building is opened.

We also plan to increase the number of lockers available on campus for cyclists to use. Safety while cycling should always be paramount, and our local council
Lewisham offer FREE basic training to anyone who works, lives or studies in the borough. Details of the Lewisham scheme.

We have a student travel plan, written in conjunction with Transport for London.

We are in the process of updating our staff travel plan. It is now in the consultation stage, and we welcome all feedback.
