Case study 3
representation of socially relevant information in future mobile media
working with our interdisciplinary academic research team, and international partners, in the PASION (Psychologically Augmented Social Interaction Over Networks) project we have been conducting user centred design research to investigate:
- what types of information people are comfortable sharing, and interested in knowing about others to enhance communication and connectedness in future mobile media, and
- how such information could be represented visually and in other modalities
- the effects on social interaction amongst people communicating at a distance of representing these mediated social cues
- the emergent behaviours exhibited by groups of people sharing these social cues
