Benjamin Byford
Currently studying an MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship at Goldsmiths University, Benjamin is also working as a freelance web designer.Since finishing his undergraduate course in Creative Music and Sound Technology, Benjamin won second prise in the Leeds Metropolitan University Events Business Start-up Competition with his idea 'CanvasMusic'. With this new interest in business he was then able to do the NESTA/CIDA Insight Out course for Creative Entrepreneurs.
Benjamin has an over arching interest in the cultural industry and new technology. He has created arts based events, promoted musical shows, started and edited an arts magazine, as well as creating his own installation pieces. Now a freelance web designer, Benjamin hopes to continue working on a diverse array of projects, incorporating his passion for the creative industries with his knowledge of new media.
On finishing his course at Goldsmiths, Benjamin aspirers to be a creative and social entrepreneur, where ecological and sociological impacts appear as a strong foundation to his business plans not an after thought.
