Jaclyn Albert
A graduate from Northeastern University's Music Industry program, Jaclyn's primary area of focus lies in music licensing, supervision, and independent record labels. During her undergraduate program she has interned for a diverse set of companies in the Music Industry starting at Brown University's radio station 95.5 WBRU. She has since interned at Saddle Creek Records out of Omaha, Nebraska, the independent record label responsible for the success of Bright Eyes, Cursive, Maria Taylor, The Faint etc., Sony Music Entertainment's Music Licensing Department for RCA and Jive records, as an editorial intern at Billboard Magazine, and at House of Hassle/ Bank Robber, a New York based independent music licensing and publishing company representing smaller, indie artists.
Her interest is in how both Social Media and Music Licensing/Supervision are shaping the future of the music industry in terms of how people discover andinteract with music, as well as providing additional sources of revenuewithin the music sector.
She also is a writer, and is working on her first novel; to be followed by subsequent titles including a poetry book on her life experiences in a small town and abroad, drawing further inspiration from lyric writing, and hints of melodic structures.
